Call for Special Session
Special Session 1: Intelligent Medical Data Analytics
Intelligent medical data analysis (IMDA) is an essential issue in the application of artificial intelligence in medical informatics. IMDA has the capability to reveal implicit, previously unknown, and diagnostically valuable information or knowledge from large amounts of medical data. With the fast development of artificial intelligence and parallel computing, IMDA plays an increasingly important role in clinical decision support. In addition to the knowledge in medicine, IMDA is mainly based on multidisciplinary technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, image processing, pattern recognition, graphics, computer vision, data mining, statistics, informatics, and visualization. It automatically extracts valuable information from a large amount of medical data and combines comprehensive medical knowledge to improve clinicians' performance by enabling more accurate and faster diagnosis and prognosis. This special session aims to provide interested researchers with a series of papers describing recent developments in intelligent medical data analytics.
The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* Artificial Intelligence in Medicine
* Machine Learning Models for Analyzing Medical Data
* Data Mining in Healthcare
* Medical Image Analysis
* Medical Informatics
Organizer: Assoc. Prof. Alan Wang, The University of Auckland, New Zealand
Submission Guideline
Please submit your manuscript via Electronic Submission System (account is needed). (Please choose the Special Session 1 when you make the submission.)
Important Dates
Submission of Full Papers: November 25, 2024
Notification of Review Result of Papers from Special Sessions: December 25, 2024
Registration Deadline: January 10, 2025
The papers in each accepted Special Session will undergo a review process, similar to the other regular papers. Accepted papers will be published by the ICIIT 2025 International Conference Proceedings, which will be indexed by Ei Compendex and Scopus. It is the responsibility of the organizers to ensure that their Special Session papers meet ICIIT quality standards. In case a paper in a Special Session does not meet the expected quality, it will be rejected and an effort will be made to draw papers from the regular submission process to fill in the gap. If too many papers for a given Special Session are not accepted in the review process and we are unable to find suitable substitutes from the regular review pool, the Special Session may be canceled. Any further inquiries should be sent to: iciit@cbees.net.
